Who am I?

My name. My name is Kendra Leigh (Surname). Although I very often forget my middle name and how to spell it, I like it a lot. Kendra means knowledgable in the ways of the Lord, a name I am growing into every single day, every step I take every hardship I face. The name Leigh, from what I can recall means healer. I would one day love to teach children who are broken, hurt and unloved and show them Jesus. The one who was broken, hurt and unloved for them, so that one day they may be healed and loved more than they will ever comprehend. My surname is Dutch. I would one day love to trace back my roots all the way back to Holland. It would give me an excuse to go to Europe. A trip I so desperately want to take.

Enough about my name, my future goals and dreams. Here's to the now. I am currently in Year 12, a situation I never thought I'd reach. I'm a bit stressed, but I'm constantly quoting in my head: 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me' or 'Come to me all you who are heavy burdened, and I will give you rest'. I like rest, relaxing etcetera etcetera.

I have, over the holidays discovered that I LOVE writing. While I'm writing this I am also going over the 1000 things I have to do but somehow I'm relaxed. And thats what I love about writing you can almost completely forget about your current situation and just focus. Focus on writing. Reading is the same. And I think thats why I enjoy reading so much!

I shall continue this little 'about me' sometime this weekend.

Love Kendra
